What is Video Editing

Video editing is the way video shots are manipulated and rearranged to create a new work. The editing process is usually regarded as a component in the post-production process — such as titling, color correction, sound mixing, etc.

Several people, especially in non-professionals, use this word editing to describe their entire post-productive work. It is up to you whether or not you want to choose words. We are fairly liberal in terms of language in this tutorial and use the word editing to mean:

  • Rearrange, add and/or remove video clip and/or audio clip parts.
  • Correction of colors, filters and other enhancements are applied.
  • The transitions between clips are made.
